1) Next SUG-TX Meeting – PowerBuilder 11 Road Show, July 24, 2007

The Sybase Users' Group of Texas will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 as part of the PowerBuilder 11 Road Show.  SUG-TX and Sybase are co-hosting a special meeting to witness the launch of PowerBuilder 11, so you can see first hand how PowerBuilder 11 gives you the power and flexibility to speed into the .NET world – all the while retaining the ability to develop applications for and deploying components into J2EE servers, and delivering tried and true Win32® applications. You will see all the new features in PowerBuilder 11 with in-depth demonstrations and code review.

The event will start at 9:30am (registration at 9:00am) at the Hyatt Regency, 1200 Louisiana Street in downtown Houston.  Register for the event at:

2) SUG-TX June Meeting Highlights

The Sybase Users' Group of Texas held their June meeting on Tuesday, June 26th with a presentation on "What's New with PowerDesigner 12.1" by SUG-TX President, Don Clayton.  PowerDesigner 12.1 has arrived and brings many new and improved features.  PowerDesigner supports over fifty-six distinct database versions, six object-oriented programming languages; web services design using XML and SOAP, four business process orchestration languages, and a host of other nifty functions.  PowerDesigner 12.1 now functions as a plug-in for Visual Studio 2005, Eclipse, and PowerBuilder.  For object-oriented modeling, all UML 2.0 diagrams are now supported.  Version 12.1 also offers unequalled support for the new features of SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 10g.  Don presented and demonstrated the new features at the meeting.
