Latest Version of
Market-Leading Sybase PowerDesigner Delivers Comprehensive Toolset for
Implementing Enterprise Architecture
DUBLIN, CALIF. —
SEPTEMBER 23, 2008 — Sybase, Inc. (NYSE: SY), a leading provider of
enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, today announced the planned
availability date of Sybase® PowerDesigner® 15, an all-in-one modeling and
design solution for enterprises that need to build and streamline business
processes quickly and consistently. This new version of Sybase PowerDesigner provides enterprise architects, IT professionals and
business managers with the ability to improve business and IT alignment through
its unique Link and
Synch technology. Sybase
PowerDesigner 15 also increases the capability for impact analysis and provides
greater visibility for all stakeholders independent of technical experience.
"Business strategists,
planners and analysts can derive considerable benefit from an EA tool, because
it helps them to better understand the complex system of IT resources and its
support of the business," writes Greta James, research vice president of
Gartner.*
In today's complex IT
environments, enterprises are regularly challenged to closely align various IT
elements—systems, data, applications and network—with business goals, processes
and requirements. However, the knowledge of each of these elements is siloed.
PowerDesigner 15 removes those silos, streamlining the enterprise's ability to
respond to change. As a result, the enterprise becomes more agile, reflects the
goals of multiple business units, and meets regulatory and compliance
standards.
