The meetings are held at HAL-PC, 4543 Post Oak Place, Suite 200, Houston, TX 77027 (map).  Members frequently continue discussions at Champps Sports Bar after the meeting while waiting for traffic to subside.

2) PowerBuilder .NET Training

The International Sybase User Group (ISUG) and the Sybase Users' Group of Texas (SUG-TX) are pleased to offer PowerBuilder 12 .NET training on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 9:30am - 5:30pm.  The class will be offered at our HAL-PC location.  The cost will be $99 for ISUG Green/Gold members and $229 for all others (*).

The training will be presented by Yakov Verde, President of eLearnIT LLC.  Yakov is a PowerBuilder MVP, a long-time Certified PowerBuilder Developer, Sybase Certified Trainer, and developer of the .NET Stock Trader reference application which clearly demonstrated the ease of use of PB 12.NET for building WPF and WCF applications with PowerBuilder.

Attendance will be limited to 30 people, so you should register quickly to secure a spot.  Remember this is a fast-paced .NET class aimed at PB developers needing to know more about .NET and how it fits in to their development process.  We will also compare and contrast the .NET development features of PB12 Classic and PB12 .NET, since both can be used for .NET development.

You will not need a computer to participate, but in order to be able to follow along with the instructor during sections of the course you will need to have PB 12 .NET pre-installed on your laptop.  You can download and install the evaluation of PB 12 at http://response.sybase.com/forms/PB12Eval .

We will have some hand-outs, but make sure you bring a pen and paper with you!

Details of the training are at:

Because of the fast approaching date, payments will be accepted in one of the following manners:

1. Online, with a credit card at the time of registration.  (This is by far the easiest way.) 2. By company check. Note: the check or an approved purchase order number MUST be received by us before the event.

The training will be held at HAL-PC, 4543 Post Oak Place, Suite 200, Houston, TX  77027 (map at http://www.hal-pc.org/map.html).
