2) SUG-TX February Meeting
Highlights
SUG-TX and ISUG offered a 1-day
PowerBuilder .NET training class taught by Yakov Werde, President of eLearnIT
LLC. Yakov is a PowerBuilder MVP, a long-time Certified PowerBuilder Developer,
Sybase Certified Trainer, and developer of the .NET Stock Trader reference
application which clearly demonstrates the ease of use of PB 12.NET for building
WPF and WCF applications with PowerBuilder.
The class was a fast-paced
.NET class aimed at PB developers needing to know more about .NET and how it
fits in to their development process, comparing and contrasting the .NET
development features of PB12 Classic and PB12 .NET, since both can be used for
.NET development. Most students brought their laptops to follow along. Watch
for future drill down topics from the training at future
meetings.
